After months of preparation to record my new album in Berlin, have it manufactured in the US, and a graphic designer from Paris create the artwork, it’s finally coming together!

I’m sitting in Berlin right now, writing this blog post from the studio where I’ve begun recording my upcoming album “From Prague to Paris.” With no hold-ups, it will be released on September 1, 2011.

I’m very excited about this album, it’s the first time that I’ve ever sat down to write songs for a specific album.  I tried to create a nice, cohesive feel throughout these ten songs, and I hope you will like it as well!

Perrine Rousselet, is the graphic designer who produced the artwork. Perrine is an amazing person and a great artist, so be sure to click her name and peruse her website a bit.

She had eight different options for the album cover, most of which were typical of what you expect from a graphic designer (all were very diverse and wonderful!).  But the one that really stuck out for me was a drawing that she did.

To me it’s so intricate and enjoyable to look at; and it immediately reminded me of the types of songs that I wrote for this album.  So I asked Perrine to run with the drawing and see what she came up with, and I think it’s really terrific.

Recording is scheduled to be finished by Friday, August 12th and then everything goes to the US to begin manufacturing.  As always, it will be available anywhere on the internet (iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, etc) and on my website.
