First of all, I hope that summer is off to a great start for everyone – we are enjoying the first days of the sunny season in Belgium. Now for the news: Pre-sale for my upcoming album (to be released September 1, 2011) has officially begun! This one will have 10 songs on it, and I think that my songwriting has entered a new phase with what you’ll hear on this album. The first 5 songs are stories collected from our travels through Europe thus far. The second 5 are a mix of love ballads and thoughtful songs. Recording begins on August 1st in Berlin with a very professional sound expert, and he has been nice enough to dedicate some time to recording this album with me! A wonderful graphic designer in Paris is completing the artwork for the album, and I have no doubt it will look pristine! By the middle of August we’ll be sending the song files and artwork to a manufacturer in the US who will package all of the albums – it will certainly be my most professional album to date. Along with the album, we also have some new things being made, which you can order on the pre-sale page. Dan Coyle tee shirts (which will sport the artwork for the new album), a “Making of the Album” DVD will be made as we jaunt around Berlin and make this masterpiece (edited by a film-maker in Berlin), and even a “Dan Coyle Songbook” which will be professionally produced and bound! The book will include lyrics and chords for 20 of my most popular songs and is great for anyone who likes to strum away on the old guitar. Why order during pre-sale you ask? Well, you will have any CDs, DVDs, Songbooks, or Posters that you order autographed and personalized. Also, you will receive your items at least 2 weeks before it is available to those who don’t purchase during the pre-sale.
